nutella

I have known about Nutella for a while now. (Tanner likes to put it on bread and whatnot.) But, here at BYU, my friends were putting it on crackers and lots of different kinds of bread. So I tried it. Not on bread, not on crackers, but just on my finger. It is good!!! But why mess up the delicious taste of hazelnut chocolateness with bread or crackers?? So now I have a jar of Nutella in my room, with a spoon right next to it. Everyday, I eat a few scoops when I get home from class. Can you say YUM?!

sunday

On Sunday, July 26, I taught Relief Society with my friend Chelsea. We taught our lesson based off President Monson's talk: Sugar Beets and the Worth of a Soul. He talked about haow we are all important to our Heavenly Father. We need to help the "Lost Sheep" return to the fold. We told the parable of the Lost Sheep, Lost Coin, and Prodigal Son. People participated and we were told by many women that we did a good job. I enjoy teaching, so I had fun with the lesson.

Kenny Chesney and Maria

On Thursday, July 23, I went to the Kenny Chesney concert in Salt Lake with Maria Forbes. We went for her birthday. Before the concert, we had ice cream cake with her family. The concert was so fun! Kenny sang Down the Road, which is one of my favorites. It was really fun to see Maria. I had a blast!

Salt Lake City

On Saturday I wene to Salt Lake City with 2 friends. We rode the bus and tracks. First, we got the times wrong for the buses and started our adventure a whole hour late. Then, we ended up on the wrong bus and had to switch. More delays. Finally, we got to Salt Lake. We went through the church History Museum and took pictures by the "I am a child of God" banner and the Angel Moroni. We had lunch at Gateway Mall. Then we went to the Catholic catherdral in the city. I lit a candle for Mary. We then went to Temple Square. We went into both visitor's centers and the Tabernacle. We saw the Christus and took pictures around the temple. It was really hot - over 100 degrees! The fountains looked so inviting... Then we rode the tracks and bus to get home. Both of my friends fell asleep. It was a very fun day!

Harry Potter

I saw Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince at midnight last night!! I really liked it! I was bummed tha they took out the big fight scene. And Neville showed up ONCE! Sad story. I love Luna Lovegood. Not enough of Hagrid. I thought Ginny was a little too tall. When the Burrow was burning...I almost cried. But they did a good job. The scenery was beautiful. The cave scene was well done. It wasn't my favorite of the Harry Potters, but it was one of the better ones. Woohoo to Harry Potter!!

Classes and things

I officially hate American Heritage.
English 150 is pretty good. I got 95/100 on my Opinion Editorial. My first paper in college! Its pretty exciting!
On the 4th of July Allie and I went to see the hot air balloons with Uncle Ed and Erica. Then we had a really good boy scout breakfast and watched the parade with Aunt Dianne and Erica. It was fun, but hot! That night I watched Stadium of Fire fireworks. They're good!
I love hall parties! We've had two. They are very unofficial. It starts with 2 or 3girls chatting in the hall and more just keep coming. People bring food and we just hang out. so fun!
Overall, I'm enjoying BYU.
