Alie and the Sisterz in Suits

On Wednesday, January 27, 2010, Helaman Halls had a talent show. A group of friends and I particiapated. We were the group Alie and the Sisterz in Suits. Alie changed the lyrics to the song "I Need a Hero" and it became "I Need and RM". So Alie sang and 3 other friends and I were back-up dancers. The back-up dancers wore white button-up shirts and ties. It was tons of fun! And guess who won first place?! WE DID! We got two coupons each for a free scoop of Creamery ice cream and Helaman Halls t-shirts. We had a blast and we're all a little bummed that it's over. Murry

This is late to posting, but whatever.
For Christmas we got a puppy! It took as all day to agree on a name. We finally picked Murry. He's a morkie (a maltese/yorkie).

ASL

This semester I am taking ASL 101. That's right, I'm learning sign language. On day one, I learned how to ask "how are you?" and how to respond. I can count to ten and I know the whole alphabet. I can now ask what school someone goes to, ask if they are a student or teacher and answer those questions. I can ask all the 'wh' questions and say "I know", "I don't know", and "I forget". I can ask if someone is deaf and let them know that I can speak. I really enjoy this class. For the hour and 40 mins that I have it, no one in the room speaks. My teacher is not deaf and he can speak, but we spend the whole class in silence, only communicating through sign language. I love ASL. This is going to be my faorite class this semester.
